Colorants and color-effect ingredients are used in cosmetics (makeup) to provide color and shine.

Colorants may contain impurities of metals that may cause allergic reactions. Metals like nickel cobalt or chromium. Therefore Asthma Allergy Nordic do only allow colorants in decorative cosmetics (makeup) and additionally limited the amounts of metal impurities that may be present in the final product.

On the declaration colorants are stated with “CI” and numbers. The colorant CI77492 is accepted in products certified by Asthma Allergy Nordic.
