Colorants and color-effect ingredients are used in cosmetics (makeup) to provide color and shine.

Colorants may contain impurities of metals that may cause allergic reactions. Metals like nickel cobalt or chromium. Therefore Asthma-Allergy Denmark only allow colorants in decorative cosmetics (makeup) and additionally limit the amounts of metal impurities that may be present in the final product.
The colorant-effect ingredient is accepted in products certified by Asthma Allergy Nordic.
