Behenamidopropyl Dimethylamine may contain contaminants from the production process. One of these contaminants may cause allergy. To use the substance in products certified by Asthma-Allergy Denmark documentation must showthat the substance is free of this allergenic contaminant.

After purification the ingredient is allowed in products with Asthma-Allergy Denmark?s allergy labelling The Blue Label or Asthma Allergy Nordic.

The ingredient can in high concentrations cause eye irritation. However we do require that the total concentration of irritants is low and we conduct an individual assessment of the product considering the use and the amount of the ingredient that the consumer will be exposed to. Ingredients that can irritate the eyes are therefore allowed in products certified by Asthma Allergy Nordic.

The ingredient is allowed in products certified by Asthma Allergy Nordic in restricted concentrations depending on the other ingredients product type and use.
