The substance is permitted in products certified by Asthma-Allergy Denmark but we require that the productcontains purified Aloe Veraand that the content of antraquinones is below 5 ppm. It must be noticed that it is not possible to see at a product's ingredient if the substances used are purified ingredients.

Parts of the Aloe Vera plant contain antraquinones. Antraquionones can be allergenic and they can induce irritation of the skin eyes and lungs. However it is possible to purify Aloe Vera to minimize the amount of antraquinones. In this case Aloe Vera is regarded as safe in use and can be used in products with The Blue Label.

Be aware that there can be a risk of a slight irritation (burning/tingling) immediately after usingAloe Vera Gel. This is due to contraction effect of the substance on the skin as well as its stimulatory effect on the blood circulation. The irritation disappears within half an hour.
